El profesor Javier Matanza Domingo obtuvo el título de Ingeniero Técnico Superior de Telecomunicación por la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia en 2008 y el título de Doctor en Telecomunicación por la Universidad Pontificia Comillas en 2013. Desde 2013 imparte clases de Procesado Digital de Señal y Sistemas de Comunicación, entre otras, en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería del ICAI. En paralelo a la actividad docente, compagina tareas de investigación en el Instituto de Investigación Tecnológica (IIT), centradas principalmente en las comunicaciones basadas en la tecnología de Power Line Communication (PLC).
