Jorge Díaz Lanchas is assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Universidad Pontificia Comillas-ICADE. He holds a Msc in International Economics (2012) and a PhD in Economics (summa cum laude with mención internacional, 2016) both from Autonomous University of Madrid. His PhD thesis was awarded by the Spanish Royal Academy of Doctors (2017). In 2023 he was member of the National Office of Foresight and Strategy in the cabinet of the Prime Minister of the Spanish Government. Previously, he was economist researcher (2017-2021) in the European Commission and postdoc visiting scholar at Harvard University (Boston, USA). He is a specialist in international trade, regional and urban economics, and has published in recognized international journals. His teaching experience is complemented with previous teaching courses at Loyola Andalucia University (2018-2020) and Autonomous University of Madrid (2012-2016). Finally, he was lecturer for executive programmes with renown companies such as BBVA, Santander, El Corte Inglés and Repsol.
