Enrique Lobato Miguélez es Ingeniero Industrial especialidad eléctrica (1998) y Doctor Ingeniero Industrial (2002) por la Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICAI) de Madrid. En Junio de 1998 se incorporó al Instituto de Investigación Tecnológica (IIT) de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Sus áreas de interes se centran en el análisis, operación, planificación y economía de los sistemas eléctricos. Ha participado en distintos proyectos de investigación nacionales e internacionales en colaboración con varias empresas eléctricas y organismos oficiales. Profesor del Departamento de Electrotecnia y Sistemas (asignaturas 'Física','Circuitos Eléctricos', 'Campos Electromagnéticos'). Ha sido director del 'Curso de Especialista en Operación del Sistema Eléctrico' elaborado en colaboración con Red Electrica de España y ha sido coordinador del Area de Modelado, Análisis y Control (MAC) dentro del IIT. Actualmente dirige el 'Master Universitario en Tecnología Eléctrica', master oficial acreditado por la ANECA y ofrecido en colaboración con Endesa a través de Endesa Escuela de Energía.
