Associate Professor Dr. Diego Agulló holds a PhD in Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas and is a Senior Research Scholar at Yale Law School. He received the Award from the Royal Academy of Doctors of Spain for the Best Doctoral Thesis in Law and the XXIV "José María Ramón de San Pedro" Award for the Best Doctoral Thesis defended at the Schools of Law and Business Administration at Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Professor Agulló was a Predoctoral Guest at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law, thanks to a Max Planck Scholarship; a Graduate Research Trainee at the Faculty of Law at McGill University in Montreal; a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg; and a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School in New York City. His research interests include Transnational Litigation, Class Actions, Foreign Investment Law, International Arbitration, and Citizenship Law. Professor Agulló is the Academic Sponsor of the Comillas Alumni International Arbitration Club and a member of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
