Cristina se graduó en Ingeniería Superior Informática en 2001 por la Universidad Pontificia Comillas de Madrid. En el año 2009 realizó una estancia de 3 meses en la universidad de Marsella con el profesor Elie Sánchez, para obtener el Doctorado con Mención Europea en Informática en septiembre de 2010, también por la Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Sus principales líneas de investigación actuales son el uso de técnicas de Soft Computing basadas en relaciones causales para la Recuperación de Información y sus aplicaciones. Pertenece al BISC (Berkeley Inintiative for Soft Computing), donde ha realizado una estáncia de 4 meses en la universidad de Berkeley (San Francisco, EEUU), con el profesor Lotfi Zadeh, creador de la lógica borrosa.
