Antonio Muñoz San Roque obtuvo el título de Ingeniero Industrial (ICAI) por la Universidad Pontificia Comillas en 1991 y el título de Doctor Ingeniero Industrial por la misma universidad en 1996. En 1992 se incorporó al Instituto de Investigación Tecnológica (IIT) donde desarrolla su actividad investigadora en el área de Sistemas Inteligentes. Desde 1994 imparte clases en el Departamento de Electrónica, Automática y Comunicaciones de la E.T.S.de Ingeniería ICAI. Sus áreas de interés son la aplicación de técnicas de Inteligencia Artificial y Machine Learning a la monitorización y diagnóstico de procesos industriales, la predicción de series temporales y la aplicación de técnicas de análisis avanzado de datos y Machine Learning en mercados eléctricos. Ha ocupado los cargos de Subdirector del IIT (2000-2004), Director del Departamento de Electrónica y Automática de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería ICAI (2004-2008), Director del IIT (2008-2010), Subdirector Académico (2010-2018) y Director (2018-2025) de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería ICAI.
